Hello and welcome

Hey there, thanks for dropping into my first blog post. Let me introduce myself, I'm Heather a proud Scot living in England. It's marginally warmer this side of the border!

I am a self employed occupational therapist (OT) with a passion for helping those with neurological conditions and mental health challenges. In case you have happened on this page by accident and thinking what's an OT - that's a great question!

In a nutshell occupational therapist's are holistic healthcare professions who use occupations, you know those things you do everyday , that occupies our time, promotes a sense of meaning or belonging and impacts our overall well-being and quality of life.

I am dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field, and constantly strive to provide the highest standard of care to my clients.

I have been lucky in my career opportunities, and followed my passions and interests to foster a job I love. I am excited to share my experiences and insights through this blog, and hope to inspire others, provide valuable information, promote inclusion and breakdown stigma, stereotypes and address barriers that can contribute to discrimination.

That's it short and sweet for now. Thanks for stopping by.
